2 Major Ways To Beat Harmful Stress

This post was a collaboration and may contain affiliate links. Stress is a part of everyday life for just about everyone. Fortunately, some stress can be a motivator that is actually helpful for some. It can get you out of bed, push you to bring your full effort to everything you do, and help you reach your goals. The problem comes when stress levels become so significant that they shut you down. From experience, I know there are many things that create stress but none like money and your job. Remember, you have the power to change things for the better in both of these areas. Here are 2 major ways to beat harmful stress.

Beat Harmful Stress by Fixing Your Finances

Unless you’re incredibly lucky, there’s a decent chance that you’re going to worry about your finances at some point. The problem is that many people tend to hide their heads in the sand and ignore things that they should be paying attention to. This leads to things like bad debt, going overdrawn, and unpaid bills. And, no matter how much you ignore them, these things are not going to go away. Fortunately, it’s never too late to pull yourself out of financial problems.

Simply cutting back on your spending can make a big difference and you can often get cash loans without lenders. This would help with any short term cash flow problems you might be having. The most important thing is to make sure you’re always aware of exactly how much money you have both coming in and going out. That way you’re never going to be caught by surprise.

Create a family budget as soon as you can to ensure you stay on track. Discuss this plan with all family members in the household and explain how important it is. This is an opportunity to also teach your children how to handle money.

Beat Harmful Stress by Changing Careers

Work is probably second only to money in terms of the reasons that many people are left stressed out and exhausted at the end of each day. It’s easy to feel trapped in your job if you’re unhappy and unfulfilled. Nevertheless, there are always things you can do to make things better. First, you should figure out what the real problem is. Is it the company you work for that’s causing you stress or is it your job overall?

Once you know what is at the root of your stress, you can work on it. Perhaps you’d be happy doing the same job at a different company, or perhaps you’d be happier changing to a different career entirely. If you need a complete and total change, consider what kind of thing you’d rather be doing. What is it about your current career that’s causing you so much stress and dissatisfaction? What things are you passionate about? And how could you incorporate that into your working life?

Remember, though these tips are fairly simple and straightforward, it doesn’t mean executing them is going to be easy. Making any kind of change in your life, especially one that involves overcoming any kind of stress or pressure, is often challenging. By dealing with the causes of stress before they become a serious issue, you’ll be in a much better position to guide your life in the direction that you really want.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
