4 Ways To Shine At Your Next Business Event

If you’re serious about helping your business get noticed, consider setting up a booth at a trade event. Yes, there are many things to think about before jumping into this type of promotion. However, the potential benefits can greatly outweigh the time, effort, and money.

If you’ve never displayed at conventions or trade events, you may not understand how to best attract the attention of potential customers and even investors. Of course, all businesses will have specific needs and goals, but here are a few basics to help your business shine at your next business event.

Create a Display that Engages All Senses

The days of a boring table with a lackluster backdrop are long gone. With amazing graphic technology and some targeted imagination, you can now create something really spectacular to catch the attention of everyone. You can start with a dynamic pop-up that highlights your brand and mission.

Using vivid colors and a modern setup will draw attendees right to your booth. Also, think about how to engage all of the senses with your set up. Consider using music, aromas, and interactive components. The key is to engage them once they arrive at your display. Do keep in mind, this type of set up may cost a little more than a standard booth, but the interest and potential business it generates will help make it back.

Do Demonstrations

It’s difficult for people to understand exactly what your business is all about by simply looking at some photos and reading a few lines of copy.  Events and conventions are meant to connect potential customers to products and services. While there, attendees want to be “wowed” and shown what to expect from each business. What better way to do this than to creatively demonstrate what makes your business so unique.

I recommend performing demos every 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the length and complexity of your content. This is the perfect way to keep them close to the booth and asking questions. Hopefully, your audience can clearly see why they need to do business with you. Keep it simple but show your personality and the highlights of what you do best.

Give Away Branded Freebies

Who doesn’t love a freebie? Giving out keychains, USB sticks, pens, pencils, and car air fresheners at your event will keep your brand in front of potential customers. This is important because they may not need what you’re selling now but will in the future.  Consider coming up with a design that epitomizes your brand while being a little quirky or humorous. These pieces are more likely to be remembered and used.

Use Professional Photography

Smartphones have made it easier to record just about everything that happens in our lives and businesses. Though this seems like a beneficial trend, it can actually hurt a business by not presenting itself in the highest quality way.

To put your business ahead of the pack, consider using services like Corporate Photography to show off your business with visual expertise. You can use these pro photographs for your website, events, and even social media pages. Using them in diverse ways helps to justify the extra expense. Also, if you’re doing a demonstration for a crowd, professional photographs and video look much better than shaky smartphone footage.
