If you know you will use more expensive tools frequently, I believe the investment is worth it. On the other hand, if all of that shiny equipment will sit in your garage or shed for months (or years) at a time, don’t bother spending your money. However, if you don’t have much space, it might not be a good idea to own these things. Instead, consider renting them or borrowing from a neighbor.
They Will Pay for Themselves in Time
Another thing to think about is are garden and lawn power tools going to pay for themselves? Well, that all depends on how serious you are about your outdoor living space and how often you use them. If you normally pay someone to mow, trim, and dig gardens for you, the investment will likely save you money in the long run. I recommend keeping track of the time and money you spend on each job to calculate how much savings is possible.
