4 Natural Inflammation Busters

If you’ve been feeling not quite yourself with stiffness, aches, pains, and even brain fog, there’s a good chance that inflammation is the culprit. Inflammation can be widespread in the body or be more targeted to one area. Fortunately, you can tame both types by making some simple changes. Here are just a few that are considered to be inflammation busters.

Got Quality Sleep

During sleep, our bodies heal and recover from the stresses of the day. This includes calming down inflammation that has flared for any reason. If you don’t seem to feel refreshed in the morning, you might not be getting enough quality sleep. This can be due to a multitude of things like a poor mattress, too much noise or light, or even electronics in the bedroom.

Know that you can change these things fairly easily by paying attention to your environment. You can also look for a better-suited mattress with the help of sites like Spine-Health to offer not just some relief from pain but a better night’s sleep, as well.

Consider Anti-inflammatory Foods and Supplements

The body is normally able to deal with inflammation on its own, but, sometimes, it is overwhelmed and needs help. If you’re experiencing pain and swelling and obvious inflammation, you might need to support your body. There are anti-inflammatory foods such as spinach, olive oil, aloe, and tart cherries that can aid the body in its anti-inflammatory response. You can also look for supplements that help do the same thing if you find you can’t get in the specific anti-inflammatory foods. Some common ones are turmeric/curcumin, ginger, EPAs, and green additives like spirulina and barley grass.

Also, if it’s legal in your area, growing your own medical marijuana with the help of accessories like Gavita can also be of great help to some circumstances. If that isn’t a possibility, many people who experience inflammation regularly, such as athletes, use CBD oil much more regularly as of late.

Get Physical

Aside from taking in natural anti-inflammatory foods and supplements, there is also the physical aspect to handling inflammation. When we increase blood flow to the areas affected by inflammation, it can help reduce symptoms of swelling and pain, all while promoting deeper healing. Besides physical activity such as basic exercise, things like massage therapy can also help to alleviate inflammation and the associated pain.

Adopt a More Healthful Lifestyle in General

Inflammation normally does not strike out of the blue. It has more of a creep-up-on-you type of path in your body. The only reason we feel like we are suddenly in pain is that we may not have noticed the early warning signs. It is, therefore, important to pay attention to your lifestyle and how it might be affecting your body. Some of the main concerns that do create an environment for inflammation are a poor diet, lack of exercise, the intake of toxic substances, and stress.

One of the best ways to keep inflammation down is to take care of yourself with things like weight control, eating quality foods, and watching out for stress and overwhelm. Alcohol is another cause of inflammation and cutting it from your diet, even temporarily, may offer significant relief.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
