Beautiful Women

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to introduce a new contributor to our Expert Team. Lannah Sawers-Diggins is a journalist and photographer from Australia who will be gracing us with her new Column called Diggin' for Talent. Lannah is an expert at talent discovery and her efforts to educate the public about the damaging effects of bullying. She has brilliantly combined her talents and dedicated her writing to promoting artists who also advocate for the fight against bullying. So we were thrilled when her first submission was about our friend singer, songwriter, actress, model, Meredith O'Connor. This follow up article catches up with Meredith and talks about the exciting things she's been up to. One of my passions has always been helping teens, especially girls who have been through rough childhoods, abuse, bullying, addictions, etc. So, when I was introduced to Meredith O'Connor, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to tell her story and bring it and her amazing musical talent to you. Meredith is a singer/songwriter based in Long Island, New York and a young woman who was bullied during her childhood and early teen years

I was recently introduced to up-and-coming NYC musician, singer/songwriter, Kalen Lister and thrilled that she agreed to do an interview. As soon as I listened to her music, I loved it! It's bold and fresh, in your face and demure, all at the same time. Kalen is a session vocalist at Tainted Blue Studio and for Equal Sonics. She is currently writing and co-writing songs with some of New York City’s best rising writers and producers, developing her catalog and licensing her music for film, TV and multi-media. On the rare occasion she has the time, she plays keys and sings in NYC based bands; such as, Missing Ships and Stone The King.

A diagnosis of fibromyalgia carries a negative stigma in society because the symptoms are very vague and are not so clear-cut as other diseases/conditions. I have actually heard people say that there is no such thing as fibromyalgia, or that the symptoms are fake and they are all in the person's head. It is also widely believed that people who have fibromyalgia just want attention and/or medication.

I'd like to introduce a special, new friend, April Morris. She is a entrepreneur, inventor, and beauty expert with quite a following. I met April on Facebook, one of the many platforms she uses to promote her product THINgloss and spread the word about her business ideas. I am woman, hear me roar!!!! Or at least meow... Happy International Women's Day, everyone! It's nice to have a whole day dedicated to honoring women; however, I like to honor us/them on a daily basis. Bloggers who dedicate their entire sites to women are the ones who are making a difference for millions of women all over the world.

So, yeah, my migraine recovery is going fairly well, in the sense that I've hardly had any headaches. However, since I've been out of the hospital, I have acquired a bad chest cold. I chalk that one up to the havoc wreaked on my immune system by five days of IV steroids, the medical equivalent of robbing Peter to pay Paul. No, it hasn't been a great week, but, nonetheless, I've managed to get some work done and catch up one some reading.

Our featured Beautiful Woman is someone whom I've never met in person but felt an immediate connection to when I read her story in a recent edition of Whole Living Magazine.
