The other day my friend, D, gave me a really cool stainless steel coffee cup that has a detachable plastic sleeve on it. It also came with a dry erase marker. It appeals to my artistic, whimsical self, as well as my coffee side. On Sunday, I decided I would write something inspirational on the cup and think on it throughout the day. I decided on “Do”. Then I thought: “Yes, I started with DO but there should be more. I should…Do Something More. And so I’ve left it on my cup a few days now even though I could have erased it and written something new. 🙂
Yesterday, while doing the dishes-something minimal, I decided to apply my coffee cup motto and do something more, and WOW! I Made it more spacious and welcoming, and it looks amazing! I love my kitchen so much better now! I’m now doing a little bit more with things I usually do the bare necessities on. I have been more actively doing crafts and perking up at ideas. So, these little things all add up and show me, at the end of the day, that I can accomplish more than I did the previous day. I am less stressed because I feel like I did more than before.
I’m not saying climb Mount Everest, unless you have conquered other mountains that are smaller. But I am asking you to look into the things you do and ask yourself if you could do more…write 50 more words (they may be the finish of a book) or write a card to one extra person to encourage them (that might be the encouragement they needed to move forward) or make an extra phone call. Start the craft you have been thinking of. Start writing about the business you have been dreaming about. Walking 1/2 a mile? Take a few more steps?
So, from my heart to yours, I hope you will Do Something More to make your day even better than it was yesterday! Live fulfilled! Enjoy life to the fullest!
“Breathe in the air that you’ve been given,
Make each moment better than yesterday,
At the end of the day – you can say; I experienced life!”

What do you want to do more of this year, month, week? How do you encourage yourself to do more or be a better you?
I love this approach Karin! There is always something more we can do isn’t there, take it a step further, give a little more; even accept a little more. I also think it goes hand in hand with being in the moment, because it’s easier to see where you can take it a little more when you are present!
I have spent the past 2 days giving a little more to my kids; they are on holidays and sometimes it’s easy to be busy with your day, but when you stop and spend a little more time doing special things with them it makes a world of difference.
Thanks for sharing!

thank you for your response and letting me know that it hit home with you. I bet your children will have so many extra special memories to look back on because of you doing more in their lives with them! Many blessings!
