Fortunate Friday: Resources

What if you had no way to reach family or friends; what if you couldn’t get where you needed to be; and what if you didn’t have resources for your needs and wants?  It really is hard to imagine living a life where nothing came easily, where literally you had to beg, steal, or borrow everything.  I’ve been poor, but I can’t say that I’ve ever been to that horrible place.

Especially in the technological era that we are in, there are numerous ways in which to reach out, give, receive, pay, buy, blog, bitch, and even cheat on your taxes (or your spouse).  So, today, I’m thankful for resources (not to cheat, by the way) and am fortunate to have such wonderful avenues of expressing myself and, well, for just living.

Just for fun, try to visualize what it would be like without the Internet, cell phones, banks, cars, electricity, running water, planes, and medical technology; then, I want you to think about the millions of people around the world who don’t have any or few of these things.  You and I are fortunate.  Be well-be beautiful.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
