Are You Taking These 3 HUGE Steps To Better Health?

There are many small things we can do to bring our health to new levels. And we may or may not do most or any of them. That said, there are a few actions that are imperative to do in order to maintain a healthy body and mind. Unfortunately, many women find more excuses not to do these three things than they do time to complete them. I hope you are not that woman. Here’s my question again: Are you taking these 3 HUGE steps to better health?

Huge Steps To Better Health #1: Regular Exercise

It’s not necessary to become a world-class athlete to be healthy. Simple everyday movement helps keep your body working well. Yes, that trip up the stairs and that walk into the grocery store actually assist in keeping you fit and energetic. Additionally, you can find fun and satisfying activities that you love to increase that movement. How about dancing or playing tennis? Just make sure your activities fit your lifestyle and fitness level. Just remember that exercise keeps the heart healthy and reduces the risk of heart disease and many other health complications.

Physical activity also keeps the mind healthy. You might find that increased mental energy leads you to feel more motivated about exercising in the future. Furthermore, get your family involved, so they can feel better, too.  Of course, exercise can also help you and your family lose excess fat. Even if you don’t have dreams of becoming a bodybuilder, some form of strength-based exercise is important to keep your muscles strong and healthy. Even a few push-ups or squats every day could make the difference.

Huge Steps To Better Health #2: See Your Doctor Regularly

No matter what your age and current health situation, it’s so important to see your doctor regularly. Like maintaining your car, the best way to avoid failures or issues down the line is to have regular check-ups to make sure everything’s working well. If you can spot health issues before they become major issues, it makes sense to do so. I’ve avoided things in the past and totally regretted it. Letting that little sore throat or twinge of pain in your lung go could be a huge mistake. These things are not likely to be something serious, but is it really worth the risk?

Huge Steps To Better Health #3: Know Your State of Mental Health

As discussed throughout this article, the way in which you look after your body and physical health, in general, can have a huge effect on your mental health. While we may not talk about having a healthy mind as often as a healthy body, it’s just as important. When was the last time you quieted yourself and considered your state of mind? How do you feel most of the time? I recommend asking yourself these questions regularly…like daily.

Even if you’re doing peachy-keen in the mental and emotional area, consider meditation and breathing exercises to help you stay that way. Make sure you stay social with friends and family, so you don’t isolate yourself. Keeping strong ties with your loved ones is one of the most effective ways to stay mentally and emotionally balanced for life. And, don’t forget, they can also be a strong support should you have a downtime in your life.

The only thing that’s stopping you from living healthily is you. Obstacles and excuses aren’t serving your well-being one bit. Your busy work and home routines are both important aspects of your lifestyle, but nothing comes close to the importance of your physical and mental health. Do your best to, at least, take these 3 HUGE steps to better health!

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
