4 Immune-Boosting Tips To Live Longer And Stronger

The most important thing that contributes to a long and strong life is your immune system. It has an enormous job that requires much energy and care. A strong immune system heals physical injuries, shields you against physical and mental health problems before they happen and even slows down the aging process in general. One thing that I’ve come to realize is that everything I do potentially affects my immune system and its ability to protect me. This is why I pay attention to how I feel and make changes where I have to. If you want to live a longer and stronger life, I recommend taking the best care of yourself that you can. Here are 4 immune-boosting tips that are a must!

Immune-Boosting Tips #1: Stay Hydrated

Our bodies are mostly made up of water, which is why it’s imperative to replenish fluids regularly. Clean, pure water could be considered the fountain of youth, realizing the enormous benefits it has for your overall well-being. It keeps your skin smooth and supple, helps your digestive system flush out toxins, and delivers energy to your muscles and organs. As a guideline, I try to drink at least half of my body weight in ounces of pure water every day. Does this always happen? No, but I am aware and give it my best shot. It helps to fill a large container with my daily allowance of water, so I can easily see the goal.

Immune-Boosting Tips #2 Eat When You Are Hungry

Over-eating can stress your body systems, including the immune functions that are so important to health. Be acutely aware of your level of hunger before you sit down for a meal. Eat slowly and give your body time to tell you if you’ve had enough. Doing this tends to be more difficult when you eat something that tastes really good. Also, it helps to be aware of emotional eating and other triggers.

Immune-Boosting Tips #3: Supplement Where Needed

The foods available today unfortunately don’t contain all of the nutrients we need. It is for this reason, supplementation can really boost your overall health, especially your immune system. Products like Caruso’s probiotic supplements can help your body stay balanced and rid itself of toxins. Because good supplements can be expensive, I recommend checking with a health care professional to see what is safe and important for you. Labs and other testing can give you a clearer picture of what you might be deficient in.

Immune-Boosting Tips #4: Eat Quality Food

I’ll admit that I’ve changed my diet a lot over the years. I’ve done this because I want to give my body a fighting chance to heal from several conditions that have entered the picture. And, I have been successful at doing just that. I am a vegan now but I wasn’t always. I believe that education is a key to understanding exactly what we are putting into our bodies. Though you may not want to make such a drastic change like cutting out all animal products, you can make healthful choices.

Eat the best quality foods that you can afford. Pay attention to labels and the process the food goes through before it hits the store. I think you will be surprised at what you discover. Let these truths help you to make changes that will truly boost your health.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
