You Are A Creator!

Many people choose a word to meditate on instead of a new year’s resolution. Yes, I got on the band wagon, except I could not choose just one! I am all over the place! I thought I needed one word and then a different one came to mind. I kept thinking of really positive words! So here I am owning three words for the year 2015. Do you have a word to use in your life? Here are mine:

Balance – Awareness – Transformation

Let’s play ‘connect the dots’ with words of intent. I need balance in my life. I am all over the place, as I said. I write, sing, play guitar, wood burn, scrapbook, draw, paint, clean, play games, cook, do laundry, shop, edit this online magazine every three months…And, now, I have two extra family members who just moved in. I get to add home schooling to my list now. All of these things, plus I am working for myself as a sales consultant for an awesome company called Jamberry. I am really busy!

I started looking into how these words go hand-in-hand with each other to create a better me.

Are you aware of the time, focus and money that you put into your life? I was not aware! I had been doing all of these things without knowing how much time was going into them. Willy-nilly. There was no set goal or focus to work towards in most of it. I just did them when I could. We each get the same amount of time in the day and, somehow, I felt as though my time was not adding up and neither was my memory about what I focused on the previous day. Frustrating! To create more awareness, I started a journal. When I become aware of things that matter, I write it down so I can take positive action regarding it.

Balance is needed when doing so much all across the board. How much time do you spend at any given thing? Should you be spending less time on it, or more? You will know the answer to that when you determine how important it is to you. How much money are you putting into it? Is it worth it compared to other things? I have begun to see how I had set myself back in the name of multitasking. Maybe multitasking is good for some things, but I am going to be spending more of that time and money doing the things that matter most to me.

We all have the same power to create transformation in our lives. The problem is we can get stuck doing tasks that don’t matter as much, leaving little time for passions. You create a better life for yourself as you become aware of what you want to change and then balance things out so it can happen. You have the most power to create a positive, successful life for yourself.

What are you creating?

About Karin Rochelle

My desire is to reach out to women with three goals in mind. Encourage. Enlighten. Engage. I also carry these desires into my music. This year I hope to expand my horizons not just for myself, but for those around me. I would like to encourage women to build each other up, to take risks and focus on goals and succeed in the challenges of everyday life. Nothing is too hard to accomplish with a support system. I want to enlighten or reconnect them to concepts they hold dear but have fallen away from, teaching how to make wiser decisions that not only focus on personal well being but that of mankind.
