4 Simple Activities To Lift Your Spirits

Have you been feeling a little down lately? No worries, we all have times when things don’t seem quite right. Things like the weather, the season, exhaustion, stress, and negative circumstances can lower your energy. It can be difficult to pull yourself out of this slump if you don’t take action, however. I recommend taking time to take care of yourself in ways that don’t tax you even further. And, certainly, see your doctor if symptoms get worse or don’t go away. But, for a mild case of the blues, here are some simple activities to lift your spirits.

Simple Activities To Lift Your Spirits #1: Go Outside

It’s important to get outside every day. Furthermore, in warmer months, actually make contact with the earth by shedding your shoes. This simple action can lift your spirits almost immediately. Between the fresh dose of oxygen, the natural sunlight, and the Earth’s energy, your body receives a life-giving health session. Sunlight alone can give you an energy boost any time of year. I recommend setting up a comfortable place outside, where you can relax and meditate or simply enjoy some time in nature. This doesn’t have to be an elaborate garden, just a bench or chair will do. If this isn’t possible, find a special place like a park to hang out for a few minutes every day.

Simple Activities To Lift Your Spirits #2: Stretch Every Morning

Do you wake up feeling tired, worn out and generally exhausted? This may even be the case if you have had a full night’s sleep. One thing that helps me wake up and feel invigorated is getting a good stretch in the morning. Waking the body up in this gentle way helps to release endorphins and get all systems moving again. You only need to stretch for around 60 seconds in order to feel the benefits. You can follow up with a fitness routine if you feel especially energized by it.

Simple Activities To Lift Your Spirits #3: Freshen Up Your Look

Though I believe every woman is beautiful without makeup, brightening your look can make a difference in how you feel. Of course, this doesn’t have to be with makeup. There are a number of ways to freshen your look. For example, getting a new outfit or hairstyle are both simple steps to greater confidence. When you look good, you feel good.

Of course, if you’re not happy with certain parts of your body or face, as we all are, consider your options. Sometimes, exercises (including facial ones) can change things drastically. There are also some wonderful products out there to help with things like sagging skin, age spots, and wrinkles. Do research on your specific issues and consider trying products like SiO NeckLift From SiO Beauty

Simple Activities to Lift Your Spirits #4: Use Affirmations

One thing I know to be true is that feeling happy and high-spirited has more to do with attitude than it does with physical things. It’s important to believe in yourself and make peace with your life, no matter what the circumstances. I know that financial problems, relationship issues, and illness can create feelings of worthlessness and despair. One thing that I do to lift my spirits in these cases is to say daily affirmations in the mirror. These are short positive phrases about myself or my life. The key to this boosting your confidence and attitude is consistency. That means do it even though you don’t feel like it. Looking yourself in the mirror and saying things like “you are beautiful” and “money flows to me daily” can be life-changing in a short period of time.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
