When you send your team out for collections and deliveries, make sure the routes are planned efficiently. Even small trips add up and can end up costing more time, money, and hits on the environment. Plan ahead and try to consolidate loads and trips.
Maintain Your Trucks Well
Regular maintenance keeps trucks and other vehicles running efficiently and minimizes fuel emissions. Some things to watch for are oil leaks, gasoline leaks, burning oil, sluggish acceleration, and odd sounds from the exhaust or engine. Have your mechanic check all vehicles at least once a year for problems and to keep up maintenance.
Recycle What You Can
When your truck(s) go for maintenance or need parts replaced, allow the garage to recycle the tires and other parts. These things often go to landfills and junkyards, creating more waste than necessary. It also helps to purchase refurbished parts instead of brand new.
