4 Ways to Feel More Empowered As a Woman

Every woman has the right to feel empowered in their life. It’s considered a vital part of personal development among many strong women across the globe today. Perhaps it’s especially important for women because of the many pressures like family, work, education, and more that can run them thin in all areas.

Spiritual teacher, Eckhart Tolle said, “Ask yourself if there are joy, ease, and lightness in what I am doing? If there isn’t, then time is covering up the present moment, and life is perceived as a burden or a struggle.” This is such a powerful statement to pay attention to for busy moms, domestic engineers, students, and career women alike. The fastest way to feeeling empowered is to slow down and realize just how much you are loved and accomplish in a day.

After all, being empowered essentially means believing that you have confidence, knowledge, and the distinct tools to make good decisions that keep yourself and loved ones safe, strong, and resilient. Easy, right? Well, that’s the issue – it should be easy, but there’s too much distraction in the world right now, and it can be overwhelming.

The good news is there are extraordinary ways to feel more empowered as a modern woman. These can help you grasp your journey to empowerment and positively improve your life. Keep reading to learn how to feel more empowered as a woman and change your life for the better.

Know Who You Are

feel more empowermentTo feel more empowered, it’s imperative to know who yourself, what you want, and the life you want to lead while getting to your goals. Truthfully, it’s more about knowing what your worth is and spotting your potential in your various roles. This is regardless of any restraints society might put on you.

Be as aware as you can about your self-esteem, mental health, and satisfaction of life in general. Think about what you value, and what you want, no matter how big or small that dream might be. Empowered women are far more likely to achieve their life goals, and stand up for themselves when challenged unfairly. Brilliantly showing your strength and resilience also inspires others to do the same.

Give Yourself a Break

Another thing that helps us feel more empowered is resting and taking some time for self-reflection. I know it can be tricky to break away from everything, but it’s worth it. Putting rest and relaxation on your schedule might be a good strategy for you if you’re not sure where to start. Journaling may also help you get in touch with buried emotions, fear, and dreams. Plus, you can look back at what you’ve written for inspiration or want to see your progress .

Educate Yourself

Have you ever heard the phrase ‘knowledge is power’? It might seem like a cliche, but it’s true. The more you know, the more empowered you are. Your confidence levels will shoot up because you’ll have more solutions and information for your life.

The most obvious way to educate yourself is to get into some type of education program or pick up where you left off earlier in life. Maybe you finished high school but didn’t attend college, or perhaps you left college early. Whatever interests you is waiting there for you.

In the modern world you don’t even have to attend college to get new qualifications. You can work online from home at a time and pace that suits you. Take up an apprenticeship to learn a completely new career, or you could study by going online and visiting the library or attending talks by experts. Do you research and find what best suits you and your goals.

Take Care Of Your Mental And Physical Health

feel more empoweredSomething else that helps you feel more empowered is to take care of your  mental and physical health. Health is closely linked to everything you want to do in life. Just imagine how hard it would be to do anything if you were not well. Well, I have lived much of my adult life with chonic illness. Take my word for it…it sucks really bad! Prevention comes with awareness and is the best medicine, so be brutally aware and take action where needed in physical and mental health.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, but it often gets put on the back burner until something bad happens. Make it a priority when it comes to living your best life and cultivating empowerment through paying attention to your mental state .

A few powerful actions you can do to improve your mental and physical health include meditation, therapy, spending time in nature, or perhaps doing a hobby you really love with friends or family. And, if you need professional help because you have a mental health issue you don’t have to solve it alone.

Some of the best things you can do is to maintain a healthy lifestyle are eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. It’s also crucial to get regular check-ups, so find a good health care team you can trust including a well-accredited dentist like Dr. Mark Berenshteyn. If you don’t currently have a health care team, ask for referrals from friends or family for quality practitioners in your area. You’ll feel more empowered because, not only will you be healthier, you’ll also be in control.

Find Support

The idea of becoming more empowered might seem overwhelming at first, but you got this if you work a plan and take action. That said, you don’t have to do it on your own. One of the best things you can do is find support. A fantastic support network is truly the fastest and most empowering way to go further in your dreams and life.

One thing you can do is to find a mentor (or more than one) who can give you guidance and support in areas your interested in cultivating. They can be a valuable source of wisdom, experience, and information. You’ll likely be able to get past challenges a much easier with someone watching your back.

Finding support for all types of life areas leaves you feeling cared for and able to accomplish more without paralyzing fear or doubt. As you can see, these tips could change your confidence and increase you empowerment level effectively with your attention. Good luck, my friends!

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
