Everyone Cheats

Now that I have your attention, I’m going to give it to you…every one of you.  That’s right; we all cheat.  We cheat ourselves out of the fulfilling, healthful lives we should be living.  And we do it ALL the time!  You heard me correctly.  Oh, how do we cheat?  Let me to count the ways…

1.  Have unrealistic expectations of yourself and others.

Face it; you will never look twenty again…ever.

2.  Force yourself to go along with the crowd when you know better.

Yeah, I’ve done that social smoking thing…

3.  Eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner at McDonald’s…several times a week.

This includes Burger King, Hardee’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Arby’s…

4.  Hide the fact that you eat at any of the above so much.

Don’t you know it leaves residual grease odor in the car and on your clothes?

5.  Live vicariously through your children instead of experiencing life for yourself.

You won’t break if you go down that slide or ride the roller-coaster…

6.  Get attached to the “way things are” even though “things” are bad.

Yes, people do this; I did…

7.  Hate your body…any part of it.

It has feelings, you know…

8.  Allow money problems to steal your joy.

It will pass…just like all those hours you wasted being worried…

9.  Forget to relax.

Every thing does not have to be perfect…

10.  Lose weight for the wrong reasons…and then gain it back.

It’s not about the jeans; it’s about health…

11.  Choose not to forgive others.

A slow death…

12.  Choose not to forgive yourself for all this cheating.

Just let it go…oh, yeah, and stop doing this stuff already.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
