Happy Friday, everyone! I'd like to share a treat with you today with a post from relationship expert Maryanne Comaroto. I've been in the hospital for almost a week with a killer headache that seems to love the view from my brain...you should know I've served an eviction notice. So, anyway, I'm thankful for Maryanne's timely articles that not only give me a rest but fit in well here at Women's Life Link. Her to-the-point wisdom and lovable humor is enlightening for everyone whether you're in a blissful or troubled relationship or looking for a new love. Let me know what you think about her advice, and feel free to share any stories or comments about personal experiences.

I think I'm in good company when I say there is a distinct difference between the life I'm living and the one I want to live. Hear me out...please. I'm not saying that I'm not thankful for who I am and the hand I've been dealt; I'm merely pointing out that we all have passions and dreams that have not been fulfilled. And those powerful visions of a life not realized can really be a driving force to make self-improvements in hopes that the gap gets a little smaller.

I've been brainstorming since the January 1 about how I'm going to define and brand myself as a life coach and counselor to women. To say, "I'm a life coach" is not definitive enough to let the world know who I really am as a coach. One of the things that keeps coming up for me is the fact that I've always been an extremely creative woman.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how a woman really changes throughout her life. I watch my youngest flit around the house in her 2.5 year-old body, full of laughter and energy I only dream of in my more mature state. Then there are my teens. They are full of hope and dreams of their future, waiting for those big events to wash over them and not realizing that they pass too quickly. They don't yet grasp the fact that they are creating their futures with every thought and action of which they presently partake.

As a part of my "Beautiful Woman" interviews I always ask "do you have any regrets?". I believe for most women it's easy to see the "errors of our ways" when it comes to the progression of our lives. However, having regrets means that you would likely change something if you could. I was thinking about how destructive that attitude can be to our life journey. Bottom line: if we changed one thing, we would change everything - even the blessings.

As women, we naturally guide the heart-center and atmosphere of our homes. We feel more; we believe more; and we certainly create enthusiasm when we need to. And, unfortunately, we can also tear down every thing we’ve worked for with that same power when it’s influenced by negative emotions that don’t serve us. If you despair over circumstances or a difficult situation to the point of emotional compromise, your family feels it. They follow you whether you want them to or not.

I don't normally share a lot about shopping sites, but one in particular impressed me so much that I have to tell you all about it. The site Novica.com is an international shopping site affiliated with National Geographic with a mission "to give artists and artisans around the world a global platform to express their true artistic talents, to spur their creativity" and to bring that talent to your doorstep.

When a woman wears a real diamond, she markedly changes her posture, her confidence, and the way she carries herself; an interesting observation that deserves a couple of laps around our brains…you know, for the sake of understanding something about ourselves. Why do you think a stone can make such a difference in our perceived self-worth and attitude?

Hi Everyone! Today is a good day! Why? I actually got some Holiday shopping done! Understand the norm for me is rushing from store-to-store on Christmas eve searching for last minute items. Talk about procrastination... I don't know why I do it every year and, of course, I always tell myself I won't ever do it again just to end up in the same predicament on December 24th. Well, not this year!

“There's an old Chinese proverb that says the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. If a woman can make simple pledges to change the small things, she's well on her way to leading a fuller, healthier life.” ~Florence Henderson

Passion – a word that has so much energy and promise. It brings lovers together; it wins wars; it creates fine art and literature; it makes money; and it works miracles. Those who find it have the potential to do all of the above and more. What are you constantly drawn to do that gives you that feeling of accomplishment and joy? Though this may have nothing to do with your purpose, it’s likely that it can give you a clue – a direction in which to start seeking.

Have you ever met someone who whines about everything? She never accepts responsibility for her actions; it’s always the fault of someone else. It’s fair to say that this perpetual attitude is precisely why she is living a life of despair and frustration. She has never realized that it’s her Journey to own and treasure. After all, isn’t it much more fun to pass the proverbial buck on to Aunt Millie or anyone who willingly enables us to do so? For a while, perhaps, then it gets old…excruciatingly old.
