Making Life Rock

As far as me, I'm thankful for all of the incredible opportunities that have flown through my door as of late. Desires that I had months and even years ago are coming to pass right before my eyes.

One thing that most of you don't know about me is that I have a background in Interior Design/Decorating. It was my chosen career for many years before I surrendered fully to my calling and purpose. I still have a love for all things beautiful and for making environments healthful and blissful.

I've often wondered why some people are just naturally happy and others are chronically distraught or depression. Is there really that much difference between their circumstances to cause such a dramatic opposition? I mean, really, don't we all have good days, bad days, bills that kill, kids that hit home runs, health issues, triumphs, and tragedies?

My daughter showed me this today...so worthy of our attention. Let's be thankful for the generation of young people who will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Now that I have your attention, I'm going to give it to you...every one of you. That's right; we all cheat. We cheat ourselves out of the fulfilling, healthful life we should have. And we do it ALL the time! You heard me correctly. Oh, how do we cheat? Let me to count the ways...

It's a likelihood that most of us have some form of void in our lives, whether it be in our relationships, our spirits, or our physical bodies. These empty places can remain for years without causing any noticable problems or they can immediately prod until action is taken to fill them.

I love the feeling of starting new projects. That's likely the reason why I do it so often...even if I shouldn't. My latest endeavor is a new non-fiction book entitled, Your Best Journey: For Women. It is the first of a series that I plan on doing over the next year.

OK, so I changed the Tuesday theme...again. What can I say, I get bored easily. I've decided to let you all inside my head and world just a little more from now on. I have realized that I can get a little distant always posting about what to do to get healthy and happy.

Well, the topic for today is one that might make a few of you cringe or at least think about whether I have read your mail...so to speak. It's just too big of an issue to not address here before God and everyone. So, let's move on.

I hope everyone is enjoying the change of season as much as I am. The sun is out, flowers in bloom, and children are playing outside...free inspiration for the taking. I have my coffee close by, and I'm ready to share a few things with you for TnT Tuesday.

Since this is the first day of my childrens' Spring Break, I wanted to spend a little extra time with them. Because I am truly fortunate to have their beautiful souls in my life, I am going to take a breather from writing a new article today and connect you to some of my favorite posts from past Fortunate Fridays. I had a strong thought today about the topic of accountability and how important it is. When we can share our goals (even the ones in our weak areas) with another, the chances of accomplishing them are so much greater.

My Missy Moo (toddler girl) has been watching this one episode of Barney and Friends over and over again. Though I don't have anything against the purple dinosaur, it never fails that the songs get stuck in my head...I then proceed to sing them - a common mommy event, I'm sure.

It's official, today is our one year anniversary! I remember that first day like it was yesterday...the promo, the nervousness, the fear of imploding the site. Ahhh, those were the days. Now, it's all cool; I talk to great people, share with no hesitation, bring life to this page every day...er, it's still tough sometimes, though.
