Making Life Rock

Recently, I have noticed as I give more attention to the needs of my internal systems, some of the aches and pains I thought to be "normal" aging have disappeared; you bet, I'm grateful. Oh, Happy Day!

I wanted to start sharing some of my favorite blogs with you on a weekly basis. It's likely that I spend way too much time on the Internet these days, but I can't stop exploring for the best women's blogs out there. This week's favorite is my friend Suzanne's blog, Without Dash.

Have you ever been lost in a strange city or even in your own town? It happens; and when it does, it can be terrifying. You're lucky if someone nice is available to help you find your way. I remember being lost in a not-so-nice part of town years ago - before cell phones.

When things change in our lives (purposely or not), we have two choices; we can refuse to accept the circumstances and fight them, or we can go with the proverbial flow. Of course, different events cause varying reactions. Not to mention personality can play a role in emotions and actions.

"Are you like your mother?"was bold and loud in my mind as I opened my eyes. For some of you that inquiry might provoke some angry feelings or at least a nonchalant eye roll. A few of you might be beaming with pride to know that, yes, you are just like your mother. But, for most, you are like me, knowing that you have carried on some of mom's negative traits as well as some good ones.

Remember when you were waiting on that special guy to pop the question or expecting your first child? Can you recall dreaming or even visualizing these important events when you were a teen or even a young girl? Through hope we actually begin to form our lives from the beginning.

I don't know if you've noticed, but women are shifting into higher gears and focusing more on life goals and dreams. This may be a worldwide trend amongst humans in general; however, I feel a distinct feminine energy surrounding this front of powerful changes.

Our minds process millions of thoughts; we are multi-taskers and usually take on way too much. Do you feel spread too thin to be there for yourself, your children, your partner? I know I do. A tool I have found to help is meditation.

Hi, Ladies! I need to be very brief today. I am helping a good friend with a big grand opening of her swanky salon. Between the shopping, decorating, getting my hair done, taking care of the Missy Moo (toddler girl), I am spread a little thin today.
