Delight in each day! There is something that is going to happen today that should be celebrated. You woke up. Maybe you were able to witness the sunrise? Even if you did not see it, it happened and it was a magnificent painting of wonderment. Even if nothing out of the ordinary happens all day long there is going to be thousands of stars shining brightly down on you tonight asking you in a twinkle, “What will you do tomorrow?” “Which star will you wish on tonight”? “What will you be celebrating tomorrow?”

While everyday is someone’s birthday, not every day is your birthday. But that does not mean it can’t be a special day. There is a National Something or other day for almost everything in the world, including National Bacon Day, so why can’t YOU be in charge of what you make a holiday?

Maybe you are watching your weight? Each pound you lose or gain (based on your personal goals) should be a celebration. Maybe you started making lists to help you accomplish things. Enjoy the list making and celebrate every check mark. It may seem silly, each accomplishment small or large is WORTH your celebration.

When a child gets a sticker on his/her paper for doing well, they come home all excited. Some collect those stickers. They are monumental in the child’s life, not so much because it is a sticker, but because it is a reward for an accomplishment. Children are excited when they get a reward and they keep working towards that next one. As we get older, we keep working towards all these accomplishments, but we stop getting the little rewards that say, “good job!”, “well done!”, “you did it!”

That is what this article is about. Start celebrating every mark towards your next accomplishment. Make anything you want a holiday! Why can’t you make today a holiday?

About Karin Rochelle

My desire is to reach out to women with three goals in mind. Encourage. Enlighten. Engage. I also carry these desires into my music. This year I hope to expand my horizons not just for myself, but for those around me. I would like to encourage women to build each other up, to take risks and focus on goals and succeed in the challenges of everyday life. Nothing is too hard to accomplish with a support system. I want to enlighten or reconnect them to concepts they hold dear but have fallen away from, teaching how to make wiser decisions that not only focus on personal well being but that of mankind.
